Ex-journalist joins Liontrust to co-manage Cross and Fosh fund

FinnCap broker and former City AM diary editor Victoria Bates has joined Liontrust as the third fund manager on its Economic Advantage team.

Bates, currently deputy head of corporate broking at finnCap, will work primarily with Anthony Cross (pictured) in researching and selecting small caps for the team's portfolios. Cross and co-manager Julian Fosh run three portfolios at Liontrust: the Special Situations, UK Growth, and UK Smaller Companies funds. Bates will work as a co-manager on the small-cap portfolio.
