Henderson's Bennett joins Rangers board

Henderson European equities director John Bennett has joined the board of beleaguered Scottish football club Rangers.

Bennett (pictured) joined the plc board today as a non-executive director, hours after the latest power struggle at the club saw three other senior figures suspended from the football club's board. Sandy Easdale, former finance director Barry Leach and former chief executive Derek Llambias were suspended  today "pending an investigation", the club said. Llambias and Leach had previously been voted off the plc's board last Friday (6 March).
