Hargreaves Lansdown employee sacked after ‘joke' cyclist tweet

Hargreaves Lansdown employee Rayhan Qadar has been sacked after posting a message on social network Twitter which suggested he had been involved in a hit and run incident.

Qadar tweeted yesterday morning: “Think I just hit a cyclist. But Im late for work so had to drive off lol”, a message which was reposted by other users and then attracted attention from local police. Qadar, who posts on the site under the username ‘Ray Pew’, later apologised for what he described as a “bad joke”, but was then fired by Hargreaves as a result of his online comments.
