Former Martin Currie income manager joins Saracen after five-year break

Former Martin Currie manager Scott McKenzie has joined Saracen Fund Managers, after taking a five-year break from the industry.

At Martin Currie, McKenzie (pictured) managed a £21m UK Equity Income fund, which has since been changed to Global Equity Income, now managed by Alan Porter. McKenzie left Martin Currie in 2009 to take a break from fund management and set up his own catering business in Edinburgh called Piecebox. He is now coming back to the industry to work alongside the investment teams managing Saracen's Global Income & Growth and Growth funds. He has more than 19 years' experience in the industry, including investment roles with Martin Currie and Aviva, where he managed UK equity income funds. ...
