Neptune has appointed a head of strategy in a bid to grow its business post-RDR.
Charlie Parker, previously the director of asset management at Citywire Financial Publishers, will head up Neptune's strategic development. He will sit within the investment team, but will be involved across all the firm's functions.
Parker has held commercial positions at the publisher since 2012, first and was previously the firm's investment editor. He joined in 2006 from Incisive Media, where he was senior reporter on Investment Week.
The appointment comes following a tricky period for the group: Neptune has seen a number of fund managers leave in the past year, including highly-rated UK equity manager Alex Breese and head of alternatives Ted Alexander.
Neptune chief executive Robin Geffen commented: "Charlie's appointment is a key move for the company, augmenting the existing team as we ensure the business is resourced and positioned for the future.
"His efforts will help us capitalise on commercial opportunities in the rapidly changing operating environment and continue meeting the requirements of our clients."
