Artemis readies five US funds as Weldon & ex-Threadneedle team arrive

Artemis is seeking to launch five US equity funds for Cormac Weldon and his ex-Threadneedle colleagues as members of the team begin work in their new roles.

Alongside Weldon (pictured) and Stephen Moore, Artemis has also hired analysts Paul Gannon, Nafis Chowdhury, Olivia Miller and Chris Kent, as well as portfolio manager William Warren, from Threadneedle. "Subject to regulatory approval, we will be launching five funds for [the team] towards the end of Q3 this year," said Artemis head of UK retail Richard Pursglove. "These funds will include long-only and long-short strategies for distribution in the UK and Europe.
