Jupiter Split trust appoints Lord Lamont after chairman passes away

Former chancellor Norman Lamont (pictured) has become chairman of the Jupiter Second Split trust after Gordon Campbell passed away.

Jupiter said Campbell's contribution to the running of the trust "cannot be overstated". He became chairman of the company at its launch in 2004, having previously been a non-executive director of the company's predecessor, the Jupiter Split Trust. "His fellow directors, along with his friends at Jupiter Asset Management, extend their condolences and deepest sympathy to his family," the board said. The trust, now managed by Miles Geldard following Philip Gibbs' retirement last year, is due to wind up this October.
