Dalton Strategic Partnership has extended its Tokyo-based Japanese equities team after hiring Fumio Matsumoto from Japanese asset manager T&D Asset Management.
Matsumoto managed Japanese equities at T&D from 2005 and was in charge of over $700m in its Value Strategy from June 2012. He has also worked at Mizuho Securities as a mid and small cap analyst. He joined the Melchior Japan equity team, led by Akira Yoshimi on 1 January. He is the fifth analyst in a team that manages over $1.2bn, including the Melchior Japan Advantage fund.
