Investment Week's Paler scoops top platform journalist award

Investment Week's news editor Nick Paler took the top accolade at last night's Platform Awards, winning journalist of the year.

The judges decided that the winner should be a journalist who had "taken risks and gone for the scoops", who had truly broken news rather than reworking press releases. The judges said Paler (pictured) has certainly done that, breaking the biggest platform story of the year, that HMRC was planning a consultation on whether to tax fund rebates paid to consumers through platforms.
