Guinness plans UK fund range expansion by year-end

Guinness Asset Management is eyeing the launch of a range of new funds for UK investors by the end of the year, including a mirror version of its US-domiciled Global Innovators portfolio.

The group – known for its success in the energy space – has been expanding its fund range recently and now plans to introduce funds run by its US arm Guinness Atkinson Asset Management. The Guinness Atkinson Global Innovators fund – run by Ian Mortimer and Matthew Page – has been running for over a decade, investing in companies around the globe that are benefiting from technological advances, among other factors.   The $44.8m fund has outperformed its global benchmark consistently since launch, returning 64.1% over the past three years, compared to a return of 17% for the offshore In...
