London Whale duo face extradition - reports

Two City traders could be arrested within days over their role in the J.P. Morgan 'London Whale' scandal which cost the firm $6.2bn, according to reports.

The Sunday Times said the pair, Javier Martin-Artajo and Julien Grout, were due to be charged by US prosecutors, according to sources. It is thought the duo, who both worked for the bank in London, could be extradited to the US. It added the trader dubbed the 'London Whale' - Bruno Iksil - is likely to escape criminal prosecution as he is said to be co-operating with investigators. The paper said the probe into the affair had become one of the focal points for US regulators, who are keen to be seen to be taking a tougher line with Wall Street.
