ING IM appoints senior duo to EMD team

ING IM has hired a new head of emerging market debt(EMD) from Aviva Investors.

Jerry Brewin will be in charge of the team, while Marcelo Assalin has been named as lead portfolio manager for local currency, reporting to Brewin. In his new role, Brewin will be based in The Hague, reporting to ING IM International chief investment officer Hans Stoter. He will be responsible for leadership of the team, as well as the overall management, investment process and results of all EMD portfolios and strategies globally.
