F&C to launch Global Small Cap fund for Stanley

F&C Investments is planning to launch a global small-cap equity fund for Catherine Stanley next month, filling a gap in its smaller companies product range.

Stanley (pictured) who heads up the top-performing F&C UK Smaller Companies fund, will manage the fund on a bottom-up basis, predominately investing in companies with a market cap between $200m and $7bn. She will be supported on the fund by alternative manager Patrick Newens. The fund will be UCITS structured and Luxembourg domiciled, aiming to outperform the MSCI World Small Cap index over a rolling three-year period.
