Ricci and wealth boss Kalaris exit Barclays

Barclays' investment banking chief Rich Ricci and wealth management head Tom Kalaris are to retire as the company restructures its senior management team.

Kalaris will retire from his role as CEO of wealth and investment management at Barclays and will leave the bank in June. Peter Horrell, the firm's head of intermediaries, international and direct businesses, will take up Kalaris' role on an interim basis from 1 May 2013. Meanwhile Ricci, the CEO of Barclays' corporate and investment banking business who was awarded a £17.5m bonus last month, will also retire on 30 June, and will be replaced by Eric Bommensath and Tom King.
