Martin Currie sets up Asian hub in Singapore

Martin Currie has set up an investment hub in Singapore to focus on its growing client base in Asia.

It will be headed by Paul Danes, chief executive of the Singapore office, with the support of Kimon Kouryialas, regional head, and Mike Gibb, who recently relocated to Singapore. Liping Tan has also joined as an equity dealer from Prusik Investment Management, and Steven McCole, head of Asia Pacific dealing, has relocated from the head office in Edinburgh. The firm said the Asian region is increasingly a core market with a focus on Asian, Japanese and emerging market equities, and the new investment centre creates the right infrastructure for this focus.
