McCay to exit Martin Currie

Martin Currie's Asian equity manager Jason McCay is to exit the group imminently, Investment Week understands.

McCay, who has been head of Asia at the group since 2002, runs the group's £115m Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) fund alongside co-manager Andrew Graham. He has run the group's flagship Asia Pacific fund since September 1998 and is one of the most recognised managers in the space. In addition, he launched a concentrated version of the fund in 2008. The group's first long term intrinsic value strategy, it was named Asia Long Term Unconstrained.
