SJP paid £13k for Miliband speech

Upmarket wealth manager St James's Place paid £12,750 for a speech from Labour MP David Miliband at its annual conference.

The former Foreign Secretary announced this week he would be resigning his South Shields safe-seat for a £300,000 role as head of the International Rescue Committee charity, based in New York. He has previously been heavily criticised for his extensive speaking and consultancy work, which has netted him nearly £1m since Labour lost the last election. Miliband's last private engagement was at the SJP annual meeting, held at the O2 on 25 January, according the Register of Members' Interests.
