FundsNetwork latest to hire Skandia sales staff

Fidelity FundsNetwork has joined the growing number of platforms looking to benefit from an exodus of Skandia sales staff.

On top of a 20-person reduction in its formerly 100-strong sales team during the merger with Old Mutual, the platform has lost employees to a number of other competitors. Last week, Paul Judd and Steve Brooks, neither of whom were understood to have been made redundant during the cuts, left Skandia for Alliance Trust. On Monday, Neptune announced it had hired Nick Webb to cover sales in Central England and East Anglia. Novia CEO Bill Vasilieff has also spoken of his intention to recruit from the platform.
