Pictet launches EM credit fund for recent hire Defise

Pictet Asset Management has launched an Emerging Corporate Bonds fund for recently appointed head of emerging credit Alain Nsiona Defise.

The fund sits within Pictet's existing emerging market bond range. Defise (pictured) joined Pictet AM last year from J.P. Morgan, where he was in charge of managing the emerging corporate business. The new fund seeks to outperform the J.P. Morgan CEMBI Broad Diversified index by 2% per annum over three to five years. It has already attracted over $600m of assets since its launch at the end of last year. Defise said: "Emerging markets corporate bonds offer investors a different way to benefit from attractive yields and strong fundamentals from companies based in emerging markets." ...
