Ex-Liontrust sales head Morrissey joins Smith & Williamson

Smith & Williamson Investment Management has appointed Mickey Morrissey as head of UK IFA sales in a push to grow its discretionary fund management service.

Morrissey (pictured) was previously at Liontrust, where he was head of distribution for ten years before his exit in July last year. Prior to this he worked at Mercury/Merrill Lynch Investment Managers for twelve years. Nick Hodgson, head of marketing and sales, said: “This is a major statement of intent on our part regarding the promotion of our outsourcing capabilities to IFAs. “We already have IFAs using our outsourcing services, and Mickey will develop sales further utilising his extensive IFA contacts.” Morrissey starts with immediate effect and will report directly to Hod...
