Old Mutual boosts sales team with four hires

Old Mutual Global Investors has made four appointments to its sales team, days after Skandia confirmed it is cutting 20% of its sales force.

John Shepherd joins the firm on 8 January as head of UK discretionary sales from UBS Global Asset Management, where he was executive director and head of UK retail discretionary sales. MAM Funds’ Nick Pearse joins to become discretionary sales manager for the South. At MAM Funds he covered sales in the Midlands. Brian Mclaughlin becomes advisory sales manager for the North, leaving his role at Prudential UK Intermediaries. Graeme Brown takes on the role of advisory sales manager South.
