Sanlam hires business development head

Sanlam Private Investments (SPI) has hired London & Capital AM's Bruce Ely-Johnston as head of business development.

SPI, which comprises the recently rebranded firms Principal Investment Management and Border Asset Management, is looking to expand its footprint in the retail market. Ely-Johnston will be tasked with heading up the strategic positioning and the firm's sales team.  He joins SPI from London & Capital Asset Management, where he was head of adviser solutions.
