Ignis head of marketing Senior departs

James Senior, head of marketing at Ignis, has left the firm with immediate effect.

Senior has left the business alongside a number of other employees, following an internal review of the company. The review, which has been going on for 12 months, comes after the group revised its growth strategy under new chief executive Chris Samuel. Samuel has moved the business away from joint ventures it previously pursued, instead targeting the wholesale market. The sudden departure brings an end to Senior's four-year spell at Ignis. He joined from New Star Asset Management in 2008 where he had been head of marketing communications.
