Dalton SP expands multi-asset team

Investment boutique Dalton Strategic Partners has expanded its multi-asset team with the appointment of a new manager.

Luca Vaiani has joined from Italian fund manager Fondaco to work on the $14.9m Melchior Selected Trust: Global Multi Asset fund, run by chief investment officer Rupert Caldecott. In his new role, Vaiani - who spent four years at Fondaco managing a global opportunities fund - will report to Caldecott, who has managed the Melchior fund since launch in 2010. The fund was created to allow investors access to the absolute return strategy Caldecott has used for segregated accounts since 2006.
