Six jailed for insider dealing after FSA win

Six people have been jailed after a successful Financial Services Authority (FSA) prosecution for insider dealing.

Earlier this week, Ali Mustafa, Pardip Saini, Paresh Shah, Neten Shah, Bijal Shah, and Truptesh Patel were all found guilty following a four and a half month trial at Southwark Crown Court. The sentences they received today ranged from 18 months to three years and six months in jail. Their offences were for insider dealing contrary to section 52 of the Criminal Justice Act 1993, committed between 2006 and 2008.
