Investment Week's rising star Kyle Caldwell has scooped a prestigious award for his coverage of the investment trust industry.

At the Association of Investment Companies (AIC)'s annual event last night, Caldwell (pictured) was crowned AIC Trade Journalist of the Year 2012. He has rapidly made a name for himself in the investment trust world, breaking a number of off-diary news stories and interviewing high profile figures in the sector including Alliance Trust chief executive Katherine Garrett-Cox. Caldwell's victory continues a proud tradition of success at the awards for Investment Week, with previous winners including Lorraine Cushnie who claimed the AIC VCT Journalist of the Year in 2010.
