Boutique Dalton Strategic Partnership(DSP) has closed its £1.2m Melchior Japan Opportunities and £3.9m Melchior UK Opportunities funds to streamline its range.
The firm said the funds have struggled to attract clients and are no longer economically viable to run. Glenn Pratt, portfolio manager of the Melchior UK Opportunities fund, will remain at the firm as part of the global investment team. The Japan Opportunities fund was effectively outsourced to Japanese asset manager FuNNeX. The two managers Ken Nishizawa and Shingo Sugiura will continue to run funds for FuNNeX but will no longer run the Melchior product for DSP.
