Barclays launches structured product trading platform

Barclays has launched a platform which will allow wealth managers to trade stocks, ETFs and other assets themselves.

COMET is an online platform which allows wealth managers to price, trade and execute deals on structured investments across a wide range of global assets, including equity indices, stocks, ETFs and precious metals. Barclays said the platform will give investors full control over the size and timing of each trade, as well as the ability to define its structure and economic terms. The platform is already in operation across Europe, the US and Asia, handling more than 90,000 intraday pricing requests a month.
