SLI poaches Kames man to boost fixed income team

Standard Life Investments has bolstered its global fixed income capability with two hires, including former Kames Capital investment manager Mark Kedar.

Mark Kedar joins SLI as a sterling credit investment director, leaving his role as a fixed income investment manager at Kames, which he had held for 15 years. Felix Freund, a former fund manager for Frankfurt-based Union Investment has joined the firm as a European credit investment director. Andrew Sutherland, SLI's head of credit, said: "We are delighted to welcome Mark and Felix to the team. Both are experienced fund managers with strong performance track records, as well as having extensive experience in their respective sectors which will prove invaluable to us."
