Barclays drops 'Capital' and 'Wealth' brands

Barclays is dropping the 'Capital'and 'Wealth' tags from its investment banking division in an effort to restructure the bank under one brand.

The bank said Barclays Capital, private banking arm Barclays Wealth, and business banking division Barclays Corporate will now be known as just Barclays. Barclays CEO Bob Diamond said the group will more closely align and the move is part of a plan to show the integration of the bank's separate divisions. The latest change took place on Monday, and will affect branding, emails, all client-facing documents and other literature and advertising.
