Budget: Did you guess colour of Osborne's tie?

Shrewd punters who had a flutter on George Osborne sporting a blue tie in today's Budget would not have been disappointed, after the favourite came in at 3/1.

Purple had also been tipped as the colour to bet on, with Ladbrokes offering 3/1 odds on it along with Conservative blue. More flamboyant colours such as yellow and orange were rank outsiders, priced at 25/1. Meanwhile punters who wanted a flutter on Tory veteran Ken Clarke catching 40 winks for the second Budget in a row were left short changed. Bookmakers were offering 3/1 this morning that Clarke would nod off during the Chancellor's speech.
