How much did Buffett pay his senior staff last year?

State filings from Berkshire Hathaway have revealed the salaries of some of Berkshire Hathaway's senior staff in 2011.

According to Bloomberg, Berkshire handed a $17.4m payout to Thomas P. Nerney, CEO of its United States Liability Insurance Group, in 2011, while Geico Corporation CEO Tony Nicely received $12.4m and Ajit Jain, head of the National Indemnity Company, received $9.3m. That equates to an 11% decrease for Nerney, a 7.7% rise for Geico and a 6.1% increase for Jain. Buffett's own base salary remained at $100,000, though his holding in Berkshire is valued at over $40bn and his overall compensation includes almost $350,000 worth of "personal and home security".
