BlackRock EM co-head Tubbs exits

Daniel Tubbs, manager of the $1.1bn BGF Emerging Markets fund, has left the group to pursue other opportunities.

Tubbs was co-head of a global emerging markets team that also includes Dhiren Shah and Sam Vecht and runs portfolios including the £181m Emerging Markets OEIC. Both the onshore and offshore EM offerings will now be co-managed by Shah and new hire Luiz Soares, who has joined the group from Axiom International Investors. Based in New York, Soares joins as managing director of BlackRock's fundamental equity emerging markets team and will report to Chris Leavy, BlackRock's CIO for fundamental equity (Americas).
