F&C unveils Anand replacement

F&C Investments has appointed Mark Nichols to take over the group's European Growth and Income fund following former manager Paras Anand's departure to Fidelity.

Nichols, who joined F&C in June as a member of the European equity team, took over the £147m F&C European Growth and Income late last year after Anand left the group to become head of pan-European equities at Fidelity. Prior to joining F&C Nichols was a senior analyst at Oechsle International Advisors. He has also worked as an analyst at Lehman Brothers. The group previously announced Sam Cosh will take over the European Assets investment trust from Anand.
