Aberdeen Asset Management CEO Martin Gilbert and group head of equities Hugh Young have sold shares in the business for a combined total of over £6m.
Gilbert sold 148,456 ordinary shares awarded to him in 2008 under Aberdeen's long-term incentive plan after they vested, as well as a separate 1,236,956 shares. Both sales took place on 6 December for a price of 212p a share, bringing the total value of the transactions to £2.93m. Gilbert retains an aggregate unconditional holding of 7,080,289 shares, or 0.62% of Aberdeen's issued share capital.
