Theo Zemek, the former CIO of New Star, will be allowed to appear on behalf of Patrick Evershed during his tribunal for unfair dismissal against New Star.
The chair said today Zemek would be allowed to give part of her evidence, although there are a number of restrictions. Zemek, now at AXA Investment Managers where she is global head of fixed income, will be allowed to comment on the accuracy of New Star's witnesses. The chair of the tribunal said Zemek would give evidence 'based on the truthfulness' of New Star's witnesses. There will be 'limited scope' for cross examination. Zemek didn't initially submit evidence because it was of no benefit to her current group AXA IM and attending could have proved difficult, the chair said. ...
