SLI European manager exits

Standard Life Investments' European equity manager Iain Galloway has left the firm to pursue other opportunities.

Galloway has run the group's €47m European Equities Unconstrained fund, a Luxembourg domiciled SICAV, since it launched in 2008. The fund will now be taken over by Stan Pearson, SLI's head of European equities. Galloway has employed a high-conviction approach since launch, running a concentrated 30-stock portfolio which has outperformed the Equity - Europe ex UK sector since launch. The fund has delivered 14.8% over three years, beating the peer group return of 4.5%, according to FE.
