Polar Capital to launch US fund for Holliman

Polar Capital is to launch a North American equity fund for ex-Threadneedle duo Andrew Holliman and Richard Wilson, mirroring the successful offering they managed at their former employer.

Holliman, poached by Polar Capital back in May, will launch the fund alongside his co-manager at Threadneedle, Wilson, who has also joined the group. The fund will be a long-only UCITS offering, mirroring the £1.6bn North America fund Holliman ran for Threadneedle. Under Holliman's tenure, the Threadneedle American fund delivered a top-decile return of 36.2% over five years to 6 May, against the IMA North America sector's 20.4%, according to Morningstar.
