Diane Sobin has joined Threadneedle as a fund manager on the US equity desk, following the departure of Andrew Holliman to Polar Capital in May.
Sobin joins in September from Columbia Management, an asset management subsidiary of Ameriprise Financial, where she is a New-York based portfolio manager for US equities. She specialises in value investing within large- and mid-cap US equities. In her new role she will work on the £1.6bn American fund, reporting to Cormac Weldon, head of US equities. The group has also appointed Morgan Stanley’s Nafis Chowdhury as an analyst on the US desk. Both new hires will be based in London.
