Gledhill exits Henderson

James Gledhill has left Henderson Global Investors after being made redundant, Investment Week understands.

Gledhill ran the £510m Henderson Fixed Interest Monthly Income fund and the £217m Henderson High Yield Monthly Income fund. John Pattullo and Jenna Barnard have taken over the management of Gledhill's funds, with Ben Pakenham remaining as deputy. Gledhill's exit comes after a period of underperformance which has seen him lag peers over the last three years in the IMA Strategic Bond sector. The manager, who joined Henderson following its merger with New Star in 2009, has returned 14.5% and 18.6% across the two funds, compared to a sector average return of 20.8%. Henderson said it...
