Industry veteran Andrew Dalton dies, 61

Andrew Dalton, who founded and was managing partner and chief investment officer of Dalton Strategic Partnership, has died after suffering a heart attack.

The 61-year-old died at his Scotland home on Easter Sunday. Dalton brought over 30 years of investment experience to the task of building Dalton Strategic Partnership, which he established in 2002 and today manages assets worth $2.2bn. He was directly responsible for the Global Asset Allocation team which manages approximately $400m. Before starting DSP, Dalton worked at S G Warburg & Co, before becoming a director and then vice chairman of Mercury Asset Management.
