Ex-BP chief executive Tony Hayward is in talks to set up an energy-focused investment fund, the Financial Times reports.
Hayward, who left BP last year following the Gulf of Mexico oil spill disaster, is understood to be in the early stages of setting up the investment fund. The fund is one of the options Hayward is considering and discussions are at an early stage, the FT says. Hayward is also in talks to become the senior independent director of commodities trader Glencore when it lists. Hayward has previously held talks with Nat Rothschild, the billionaire financier, about launching an investment fund.
