RAB Capital launches pair of commodity funds

Hedge fund house RAB Capital is set to launch two UCITS III funds focusing on the commodities sector.

The RAB Global Mining and Precious Resources UCITS fund and RAB Gold and Precious Equities UCITS funds come to market on 11 April, seeded with $100m across the two vehicles.  The daily dealing Global Mining and Precious Resources fund will be a long/short equity strategy based on an existing Cayman-domiciled hedge fund of the same name. It will focus on large-cap companies within the  natural resources sector. The Gold and Precious Equities fund will focus on mid and large-cap names in the precious metals exploration and production sub-sector. The funds will focus on rising demand...
