AXA's multi-manager firm Architas is planning to launch a series of Ucits ‘distributor' funds midway through this year as part of a push into Europe.
Hans Georgeson, managing director, says he is looking to initially offer around four to six funds, combining single strategy equity, single strategy bond and thematic funds. Caspar Rock, the firm’s CIO, says the funds could potentially provide higher alpha than Architas’ recently launched variable annuity products, the Index Plus range, which focuses on meeting specific tracking error requirements.
