Majedie Asset Management has poached Odey duo Simon Todd and Michael Nickson to run the group's new global equity business.
Todd and Nickson, who co-managed the $75.7m Odey Allegra Global fund, are expected to join Majedie in the autumn. The duo only lasted nine months at Odey and left last week. They had been poached from MFS Investment Management last October. Majedie managing director James de Uphaugh says: "Majedie has built a strong reputation for managing UK equities and the hiring of Simon and Michael provides us with the talent and expertise to begin to build a global equity capability for the institutional market.
