OMAM Global Strategic Bond manager mixes consistency with questions, using flexibility in a diversified portfolio to outperform his peers

Launched in November 1991, Old Mutual’s Global Strategic Bond fund is one of the most consistent performers in the sector. According to Morningstar, Stewart Cowley’s £104m fund is ranked top quartile in the IMA Global Bond sector on a one, three and five-year view, up 57.6%, 54.2% and 22% respectively. The fund aims to produce an attractive level of income with capital appreciation by investing in a diversified portfolio of fixed and variable-rate bonds.
