Old Mutual Asset Managers has postponed the launch of its UK Specialist Absolute Return fund as manager Luke Kerr reduces his work commitments for a few months to focus on his health.
Ashton Bradbury, the group's head of equities, will take over Kerr's Old Mutual Dynamic Equity fund and Old Mutual Specialist Equity hedge fund on an interim basis. Bradbury ran Specialist Equity from launch in March 2003 to December 2008, and was deputy manager of the Dynamic Equity hedge fund between July 2005 and June 2009. OMAM still plans to proceed with the UK Specialist Absolute Return product at a later date, but not in May as originally planned.
