The London operations of the Rothschild banking group have hired Mark Kary, former chief executive of Polar Capital.
The firm has also appointed Helen Watson, from Morgan Stanley. Kary, who headed Polar since 2005, announced his resignation from the London-based asset manager in November. His destination at the time was unknown. The duo will manage the bank's UK private banking business. Kary had also worked at Morgan Stanley. On Kary's departure from Polar, Tim Woolley, co-founder of the company with Brian Ashford-Russell in 2000, took over his role.
