Gartmore plans European long/short fund for Bennett

Gartmore plans to launch a pan-European long/short fund for John Bennett.

The new product will invest across the market cap spectrum, focusing on areas of change within companies and industries as a driver of investment opportunities. It expect to launch the product in May. Bennett joined Gartmore from GAM two weeks ago as senior portfolio manager, European equities - bringing with him analysts Asim Rahman and Christian Billinger and dealing manager Eleanor Cameron. He has already assumed responsibility of the pan-European Sicav and takes over management of the Roger Guy and Guillaume Rambourg's £1.8bn European Selected Opportunities and Continental Europea...
