Axa IM has hired Jon Bailie from Russell Investments as its global head of distribution.
Bailie began at Axa IM at the start of the year, taking charge of both institutional and retail business development. Axa IM operates out of 22 countries, and runs about €500bn, according to the group. Reporting to chief executive Dominique Carrel-Billiard, Bailie also sits on Axa IM's management board. Bailie worked for 17 years with US rival Russell Investments, first as a research analyst, and most recently as head of the firm's alternative investments group.
